The Civil Service Commission (CSC) opened its 2024 Search for Outstanding Government Workers to honor their dedication and commitment.

In a statement released on Jan. 5, CSC explained that this annual award under the Honor Awards Program (HAP) aims to recognize civil servants who have shown "utmost dedication and commitment" to their work and inspired other employees toward deeper involvement in public service.
The commission emphasized that nominations are open to all government workers, including career and non-career employees and barangay officials, with submissions accepted until March 31 online or at the CSC's Regional Offices.
However, employees under a job order or service contract are excluded from the program's coverage.
The CSC Awards are composed of exceptional achievements where they can be nominated for the Presidential Lingkod Bayan (PLB) Award for their national impact, while the CSC Pagasa Award is for those whose contributions resulted in innovations, digital transformation, or other positive changes within their region, agency, or department.
In addition, public servants who consistently "display exemplary and ethical behavior" in the face of risk or temptation inherent in their work may be nominated for the Outstanding Public Officials and Employees Dangal ng Bayan (DNB) award.
"Posthumous nomination may also be accepted for public servants who died in the line of duty or in the pursuit of their official duties and responsibilities," it added.
Awardees will receive various rewards such as cash prizes, automatic promotion or salary increases, one-time executive check-ups, and scholarship opportunities with CSC's partner educational institutions.
