On Tuesday, Jan. 2, the Valenzuela City government launched this year's business renewal and tax payment season by opening several Business One-Stop Shops (BOSS) around the city.

According to the city's Public Information Office (PIO), the initiative coincides with the intensive promotion of the Paspas Permit.

The Paspas Permit is an online business permit application system that enables the issuance of provisional business permits within 10 seconds following payment confirmation.

The Valenzuela City government encourages all businesses and taxpayers to utilize the city’s online payment platform that simplifies procedures and minimize the hassles associated with manual transactions at the City Hall.

According to the city government, the Paspas Permit online service is available through the city’s website at www.valenzuela.gov.ph. By selecting the 3S Plus Valenzuela City online services button, both new and existing users can create accounts, make tax payments, and access a range of online services offered by the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), City Assessor’s Office, City Treasurer’s Office, and Office of the Building Officials (OBO).

The services of the Local Civil Registry, City Health Office, Zoning Office, and Land Use Verification are also accessible on the online platform.

The LGU advises taxpayers to meet payment deadlines to avoid facing a 25 percent surcharge and a two percent interest on fees.

The local government has released the following deadlines for applications for the year 2024: Jan. 20 for the first quarter, April 20 for the second quarter, July 20 for the third quarter, and Oct. 20 for the fourth quarter.

The city government has established satellite offices individuals who prefer in-person payments.

The BOSS will operate across the city according to the following schedules: Jan. 2 to 5, Jan. 8 to 12, and Jan. 15 to 19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Additionally, on Jan. 6, Jan. 13, and 20 (Saturdays), the e-BOSS will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The e-BOSS locations include ALERT Center-Multipurpose Center Hall in Barangay Malinta, 3S Center Ugong, 3S Center Punturin, 3S Center Karuhatan, 3S Center Gen. T. De Leon, 3S Center Marulas, and 3S Center Canumay West.
