The Parañaque city government conducted clean-up drive at Redemptorist Channel, Aseana Business Park in Barangay Tambo on Saturday, Jan. 6.
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez led the clean-up activity in line with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) memorandum enjoining all local government units to raise public awareness on environmental responsibilities through proper waste management.
Olivarez said the active participation of the city in the “Kalinisan sa Bagong Pilipinas” is also part of the city government’s program in maintaining the cleanliness around the city.
He is also encouraging the newly elected barangay officials to actively conduct clean-up drive in canals, public markets, schools, public parks, and streets in their areas.
The mayor was joined by Barangay Chairwoman Jen Quizon, and officials from the City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO), the Metro Manila Development Authority, and the DILG- DILG Parañaque City.
