Viva goes full blast in theaters in 2024

Expect movie-going to increase ten-fold or more this 2024 as Viva Entertainment unleashes a parade of movies produced with the utmost kind of film entertainment in mind.

While modern technology has made motion pictures easily accessible via digital platforms and television, it is still a fact that watching movies in a theater is a unique experience that everybody enjoys.

The Covid-19 pandemic closed movie theaters for several years. But with the virus now barely existent or at the very least manageable, there is no reason anymore not to savor the thrills, the fun, the romance of the cinema in the place was made for the theater.

To entice movie-goers back to the theaters, Viva Entertainment has prepared a line-up of films featuring the hottest stars and directors, and each one imbued with that singular trademark of quality entertainment that the name Viva has been known for these past 42 years.

Leading the line-up is Zombabe, a blend of horror, comedy, and romance starring Empoy Marquez as Pong and Kim Molina as Yasmine. Directed by Bobby Bonifacio, the film is about Pong’s hilarious efforts to keep Yasmine, the girl he loves, from turning into a true zombie.

Also showing in January are Roadtrip, starring Janice De Belen, Gelli de Belen, Carmina Villaroel, and Candy Pangilinan; Raging Grace, starring Max Eigenmann; Itutumba Ka ng Tatay Ko, starring Janno Gibbs, Xia Vigor, the child sensation of Miracle in Cell No. 7; and the Philippine adaptation of the South Korean romantic comedy My Sassy Girl, starring Toni Gonzaga and Pepe Herrera and directed by Fifth Solomon.

February will be extra special with a love story for the ages in Ikaw Pa Rin ang Pipiliin Ko top-billed by Aga Muhlach and Julia Barretto. Directed by Irene Villamor, the movie features the music of the great George Canseco and today’s hottest pop band Cup of Joe.

Other films are now in various stages of production and ready to continue Viva’s parade of blockbusters to the theaters are: Alden Richards and Heaven Peralejo in Out of Order; Pagpag 24/7 has Gerald Napoles, Wilbert Ross and Colleen Garcia; Dearly Beloved, starring Cristine Reyes and Baron Geisler; Glimpse of Forever, starring Diego Loyzaga, Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Jerome Ponce; Elevator Game, starring Kylie Verzosa and Paulo Avelino.

Jerald Napoles and Janno Gibbs star in Tito X Tito; and Diego Loyzaga and Rhen Escano team up with Joel Torre in Bullet Day; Heaven Peralejo and Marco Gallo in Men are from QC, Women are from Alabang, and more.

Viva Films is proud to be releasing Ang Tatlong Pinakamahabang Gabi, starring Alessandra De Rossi. Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles return in Best Before Love; Atasha Muhlach will make her big screen debut in Sword’s Up; and Sarah Geronimo will star opposite Matteo Guidicelli in Wonderful Nightmare.
