Investigation said Dominador was in his house taking care of a sick daughter at around 10 a.m. when the suspect, Efren, of Barangay Buenavista here and the former live-in partner of the victim’s daughter, arrived.

The suspect alleged that his money is missing and angrily borrowed a bolo from Dominador to harvest bananas to sell.

Dominador’s wife Rosita and daughter Leslie discovered the body of their patriarch in the kitchen with a hack wound in the neck upon arrival from the town proper at around 4:30 p.m.

Leslie called the police who found Rodelio’s remains in a follow-up investigation in his house 200 meters away from his father’s residence with hack wounds in the neck.

Police Major Marlon Comia, town police chief, said a manhunt is under way against the suspect who is facing double murder charges.
