The Parañaque City government is offering free PhilHealth enrolment for pregnant women who have no capacity to pay for their premium.

According to Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez, the free PhilHealth enrolment for pregnant women also covers those who are not part of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and the National Household Targeting System (NHTS) for poverty reduction of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Olivarez also encouraged residents without permanent work who are not yet senior citizens to avail of the offer of the city government of free PhilHealth enrolment.

He said that to avail of the free enrolment for pregnant women, they must submit a certification signed by their doctor to their barangay health centers and present the original and photocopy of the following: Voter’s ID or certification of Voter’s Registration with 2022 date; ultrasound result indicating the expected delivery of the child before April, 2024; certificate of Barangay Indigency for purpose PhilHealth requirement and those that are formerly members must bring their membership data record or the PhilHealth ID.

The mayor said those who have no permanent work and are not yet senior citizens must also submit the same requirements except for the certification signed by doctors and the ultrasound result to their barangay health centers.

He urged the city's pregnant women to submit the completed requirements to the Parañaque Health Plan Office located beside the Police Clearance Office at the ground floor of the Parañaque City Hall until Feb. 23.

He said the Parañaque Health Plan Office staff will conduct community immersion in the city’s villages for those without permanent work.
