The Talisay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) is pushing for initiatives that will promote a business-friendly environment and facilitate ease of doing business.

Newly elected TCCI president Archie Campo said they aspire not only to enhance the overall business landscape but also attract an influx of investment to fuel the economic growth in the city.

In a press conference on Thursday, January 4, Campo said the TCCI is committed to forging a collaborative partnership with the Talisay City government under the leadership of Mayor Samsam Gullas.

TCCI already has close to 100 members after it was officially launched last December.

Campo, the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Campotel Technologies, now is the right time for the Lechon (roasted pig) Capital of the Philippines to gear up and brace itself for a promising economic potential.

“Our thrust is towards creating convergence in Talisay that will enable trading and boost the local commerce,” said Campo.

TCCI’s flagship project will start on January 6.

The flagship event dubbed “TalisaUlog 2024” is a combination of trade fairs, auto-moto show, and a job fair.

The event will be held at the sprawling Talisay City Hall Grounds showcasing Talisay’s promising entrepreneurs in the trade fair.

The auto-moto show will be held in the next three weekends and display the latest products in the automobile industry, vintage car collections, modified cars with music boost, and an array of American car brands, among others.

The auto-moto show, the first car show ever held in Talisay City, is participated by big names in the automobile industry such as Toyota, Honda, and Ford, with automobile exclusive distributors like the Onglatco Auto Group and Stronghold Insurance.

The job fair will be participated in by 10 big companies that will open up employment opportunities to the people of Talisay and job seekers in Cebu.
