Dozens of high-caliber firearms, grenades seized in San Juan
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) announced the recovery of numerous high-caliber firearms and explosives from a residential area in Barangay Balong Bato, San Juan City on Friday, Jan. 5.

In a radio interview, NCRPO Director PMGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said a search warrant was served to a certain Ronald Aquino Macapagal for supposed violation of Republic Act (R.A.) 10591 or the Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition.
Upon entering the Macapagal's house, the police discovered the firearms and explosives in different rooms. Another set of firearms and ammunition were also recovered inside Macapagal's vehicle.
Nartatez said the police is still investigating as to why the suspect is in possession of such a number of firearms and explosives.
Macapagal is now facing charges for violation of R.A. 10591.
