Organizers of the 26th Philippine Mathematical Olympiad (PMO) have revealed the names of students who qualified for the area stage round that will be held on Jan. 13.
The PMO will be used as one of the criteria to select students who will represent the Philippines to the 65th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) that will be held in Bath, United Kingdom from July 11 to 22 this year.

Last Dec. 2, students from all over the country participated in the qualifying stage of the PMO.
The 26th Philippine Mathematical Olympiad is conducted by the Mathematical Society of the Philippines (MSP) and the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI).
“The MSP conducts the annual Philippine Mathematical Olympiad and trains the Philippine Team to the International Mathematical Olympiad with the support of the Department of Science and Technology and other sponsors,” according to the MSP website.
