Rain showers may persist across parts of PH due to 'amihan'
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, Jan. 4 said the northeast monsoon will continue to bring isolated light rains over parts of the country.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said cloudy skies with rains will be experienced in Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Aurora, and Quezon due to the northeast monsoon, locally known as "amihan."
It warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to heavy rains.
The northeast monsoon will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains to Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Western Visayas, PAGASA said.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies, or the warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, and localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may also occur in the affected areas during severe thunderstorms.
