LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police destroyed marijuana plants worth P2.8 million in Benguet and Kalinga during an eradication operation from December 24 to 30.
The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Regional Operations Division said 6,825 fully grown marijuana plants with a standard drug price of P1.3 million were discovered in six marijuana plantations in Kibungan and Bakun, Benguet.
On the other hand, 7,200 fully grown marijuana plants worth P1.4 million were discovered in a plantation in Tinglayan, Kalinga.
Police burned all discovered marijuana after proper documentation and they are conducting follow-up operations to identify their cultivators.
