1 hurt in motorcycle, jeep collision in QC

A motorcycle rider was injured in a collision with a modern jeepney along Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City on Wednesday evening, Jan. 3.

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the victim as Roger Soriano Jr., 30, from Cavite.

Investigation disclosed that at around 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Soriano was driving his motorcycle along Commonwealth Avenue from Mindanao Avenue Extension heading towards the direction of Quirino Highway.

Upon reaching the front of the Commonwealth Terminal in Barangay Pason Putik, the front portion of the victim's motorcycle suddenly bumped the right middle portion of the modern jeepney being driven by John Nicole Gorra, 27, from Caloocan.

The jeepney driver was maneuvering the modern jeepney when the motorcycle hit the vehicle.

Both vehicles sustained damages while Soriano was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The incident is still under investigation.
