Boy hacked by stepfather in Laguna

CITY OF SANTA ROSA, Laguna – A 13-year-old boy was seriously injured after he was allegedly hacked by his stepfather on Wednesday afternoon, January 3, in Daang Bakal, Barangay Tagapo, this city.

POLICE arrested a man for allegedly hacking his 13-year-old stepson in Santa Rosa City, Laguna on January 3.

Police said the victim’s mother, Marife, was sitting on a bench outside their house when the suspect got a bolo and suddenly hacked the victim.

The boy sustained two hack wounds on the nape and was taken to a hospital here.

The suspect, Rogelio, live-in partner of the victim’s mother, was nabbed after a concerned citizen witnessed the incident and sought police assistance.
