The Korean Embassy in the Philippines will start trial operations for the submission of Korean tourist visa applications by mail.
According to the embassy, the trial operation period will be from Feb. 1 to April 30 for “C-3-9 tourist visa application of Filipino nationals” and will cover Palawan and Mindanao areas.

“Visa applications will be accepted by 2 Palawan branches and 20 Mindanao branches from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.” the embassy posted on its website.
The tourist visa application by mail fee is P1,900 per application consisting of P900 Korean visa application center fee and P1,000 delivery fee via W Express.
On Jan. 30, the Korean Embassy announced that it will ease the requirements needed for visa application under four categories: elected politicians, government officials, professional license holders, and credit card holders.
Here are the details of the Korean visa application by mail and the designated W Express drop off centers in Palawan and Mindanao.

- February 1 ~ April 30, 2024 (based on date accepted by courier service provider)
○ Applicable visa types
- Only available for C-3-9 tourist visa application of Filipino nationals
○ Applicable locations
- Palawan and Mindanao
○ Authorized courier service provider: W Express
- You can submit visa application documents and receive passports with visa application result only through the authorized courier service provider
- Visa applications will be accepted by 2 Palawan branches and 20 Mindanao branches from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
○ Cost and duration
- On-site payment of PHP 1,900 per visa application (delivery fee PHP 1,000 + Korea Visa Application Center fee PHP 900)
- It will take around 14 working days from the submission at the courier to receive the passport with visa application result
