Filipina ice skater Cathryn Limketkai shone brightly anew as she bagged the silver medal in the junior women’s event of the 2024 Reykjavik International Games in Iceland last weekend.

The 18-year-old Limketkai settled for second place against six competitors from different nationalisties with an accumulated 124.16 points after she logged 51.14 in the Short Program and 73.02 in the Free Skating categories.

Finland’s Jenni Hirvonen topped the podium by tallying 126.65 points while Argentine Cecilia Donohue (105.90) earned the bronze medal.

Lena Rut Asgeirsdottir (104.79) fell at fourth followed by Great Britain’s Tarren Mayer (88.80, 5th), Iceland’s Dharma Tomasdottir (74.15, 6th) and Denmark’s Victoria Mogelgaard (62.83).

She also competed with Frank in the 2023 Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy in Thailand where they ended up as 9th and 15th place, respectively.
