Seven people, two of them women, were arrested in the anti-criminality operations conducted by Pasay City police on Tuesday night, Jan. 30.
Col. Mario Mayames, Pasay City police chief, identified the arrested suspects as alias Pablo, alias Joseph, alias Aaron, alias Jun, alias Quennie, alias Alicia, and alias Louie.
Mayames said Pablo, Joseph and Aaron were arrested at around 11:00 p.m. by members of Villamor police substation who were conducting “Oplan Galugad” along Pag-Asa II in Barangay 185, Pasay City.
He said the three suspects were spotted playing a coin game (cara y cruz).
During procedural search, policemen recovered from Pablo thee small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing about 0.3 grams of shabu worth P2,040, a one-peso coin used as flippers, and bet money amounting to P360.
The city police chief said Jun and his companions Quennie and Alicia were arrested by members of the Maricabam police substation for possession of eight heat-sealed transparent sachets containing 4.70 grams of shabu worth P31,960.00.
Mayames said the three suspects were nabbed at around 11:15 p.m. on Saint Theresa St. in Brgy 179, Maricaban, Pasay City.
He said Louie, also known as “Pogi”, 40, and a resident of Moonwalk, Parañaque City, was apprehended by members of the Airport police substation at around 11:30 p.m. on NAIA Road, Barangay 198, Pasay City for urinating in public, a violation of a city ordinance.
The city police chief said that during inspection, arresting officers recovered from the suspect 0.15 grams of shabu worth P950.
All the arrested individuals are now detained at the police custodial facility pending the filing of appropriate charges against them.
