2 dead, 5 hurt in Pangasinan road accidents

CAMP FLORENDO, La Union – Two persons were killed and five others were injured in road accidents in Pangasinan on Monday, January 29.

Police said that Jammel Amistad, 27, of Barangay Minien West, Santa Barbara, Pangasinan, died after the motorcycle he was driving rammed the rear of a trailer truck in Barangay San Jose, Urdaneta City at about 2 a.m. The truck driver was unhurt.

Marjorie P. Valencia, of Barangay Botao, Santa Barbara, died after the tricycle she was riding was hit from behind by a van in Barangay Tebag East, Santa Barbara.

Tricycle driver Gene Villota Valencia and passengers Ashley Libao Valencia, Karylle Villota Valencia, Michael John P. Valencia, and John Mark Pabillaran Valencia, all residents of Barangay Botao, were injured.
