CEBU CITY – More than P10-million worth of illegal drugs were seized in the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) in Central Visayas.

Police Lt. Col. Gerard Ace Pelare, spokesperson of Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7) chief Police Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin, said that the two-day SACLEO also led to the arrest of 167 drug personalities.
Pelare said that from January 27 to 28, 1,573 grams of shabu worth P10.7 million were seized in various areas in the region.
He added that 116 operations against loose firearms were conducted that led to the arrest of 14 individuals and the confiscations or surrender of 141 firearms.
In the campaign against illegal gambling, 165 operations were conducted and 323 persons were arrested. Police arrested 117 wanted persons, 12 of them tagged as most wanted persons.
The PRO-7 remains relentless in its campaign to end all forms of illegal activities in the region. In line with the directive of our regional director, the police will continue to pursue those who are violating the law, Pelare said.
