CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – The Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) seized 11 loose firearms and 173 bullets during a two-week Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) from January 15 to 28.
Police Col. Richard V. Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, said these were seized in Carranglan, Cuyapo, Guimba, Licab, Lupao, Science City of Munoz, San Jose City, Santo Domingo, Talugtog, and Zaragoza.
Lawmen were armed with search warrants when they conducted the operation.
Caballero said owners of these loose firearms face charges for violating Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
He affirmed their commitment to community safety.
“We will remain vigilant until we retrieve all loose firearms used by outlaws causing fear in the province of Nueva Ecija. Hence, aggressive crackdown against loose firearm will continue.”
