69-year-old man dies after being hit by motorcycle in Navotas

A 69-year-old man died after he was accidentally hit and run over by a motorcycle in Navotas City early Tuesday morning, Jan. 30.

Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) identified the victim as Edwin Esquilla, a resident of R10, NBBS Proper, Navotas City.
Based on the police report, a certain John Rick Tanio stated that around 5:30 a.m., the victim was walking along Road 10 when a black and gold motorcycle suddenly approached and hit the victim which resulted in his death.
Members of the City’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRMO) said the victim died on the spot.
Investigators went to the crime scene and found the motorcycle's side mirror left by the rider.
Authorities will conduct a backtracking on the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify the motorcycle and the rider involved in the crime.
