Heavy traffic expected in Dasma, Cavite until June due to roadworks


CAVITE – The city government of Dasmariñas has issued an advisory to residents, commuters, and motorists on the expected heavy traffic flow in the coming months due to roadworks by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

An advisory posted by Mayor Jenny Austria-Barzaga on her Facebook page on Tuesday, Jan. 2, says the construction projects will affect parts of Emilio Aguinaldo Highway, particularly the following segments:

  • Imus City-Dasmariñas City Boundary (Orchard/Golden City) to Meralco Dasmariñas until June 5
  • Robinsons Place Dasmariñas to Metrogate Dasmariñas until March 4
  • Metrogate Dasmariñas to Iglesia Ni Cristo - Lokal ng New Era until May 29

Two of the projects are undertaken by DPWH Region IV-A while one is being managed by DPWH Cavite III District Office.

The local government unit has called for understanding and patience from commuters and motorists, assuring that the City Transport and Traffic Management Office is actively employing all measures to efficiently manage traffic flow during this period.
