Before the year ender, Cignal acquired star libero Dawn Macandili-Catindig as the first player to find a new home after her former team’s disbandment.
Fernandez decided to forgo her remaining playing eligibility at the end of the UAAP Season 85 to turn pro with F2 Logistics last year.
Earlier, the HD Spikers announced they have let go of three players in spiker Jerrili Malabanan and liberos Angela Nunag and Bia General.
Fernandez and Macandili-Catindig will join forced with holdovers Ces Molina, Jov Gonzaga, Ria Meneses, Gel Cayuna and Vannie Gandler.
