Miss Universe 2023 first runner-up Anntonia Porsild of Thailand arrived in the Philippines last night. She was met in the airport by her close friend and pageant contemporary Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee. 

Fans of the two beauty queens - who have been lovingly christened "PorDee" on social media - screamed their hearts out and gave gifts to their idols. They waved banners and brought pieces of paper labeled "Marriage Certificate."

Anntonia wore a sleeveless black top and pants, while Michelle was dressed in an all-denim outfit. They gamely posed for selfies with the fans, some of whom had waited at the airport for more than 12 hours.

The half-Thai, half-Danish Anntonia, said it was her first time visiting the Philippines. "It's gonna be very exciting, and fans will love what comes out of this trip.''

She clarified, however, that she is making a "very short trip" as she will leave already tomorrow, Jan. 31.

"I've heard that the people here are very nice, the food is very good and the beaches are beautiful. I will definitely come back and visit the beaches," the 27-year-old Antonnia bared.

Michelle, meanwhile, volunteered that she would make sure Antonia" tries our amazing Pinoy food," including adobo.

The PorDee tandem - who got close to each other during the Miss Universe 2023 competition in El Salvador - revealed: " We haven't stopped talking. We've been keeping in touch and missing each other."

When asked about the secret of their chemistry, the two beauty queens gave their respective replies.

Michelle said: " PorDee stands for unity. We've created a sisterhood."

Anntonia, meanwhile, pointed out: " We're both very true to who we are and that's how we connected. We are friends with genuine authenticity."

One of PorDee's avid fans, Sarah Jane Galang, said at the airport: " Sobrang saya namin na yung dream namin na mag-meet uli sila in person ay nangyari na." 

(We're very happy that our wish for the two of them to once again meet each other in person has come true.)
