TACLOBAN CITY – The provincial government of Samar and the Philippine Business for Education will launch JobsNext 2.0 this year.

JobsNext is a program that aims to provide appropriate skills to enable the workforce to take on jobs of the future.
Gov. Sharee Ann Tan emphasized the need to invest in human capital and ensure the employability of the people of Samar by upgrading its training programs.
"We really want to come up with more development programs for our people. We need to learn and understand these new technologies that dictate the future jobs," she said.
"If we do not engage with the demands of digitization, we will be left behind. I hope our youth will take advantage of this opportunity so we can be at par with the developing countries," she added.
JobsNext also seeks to offer more courses to equip the youth in Samar to enable them to be ready for the demands of the digital world.
During its inception, the province, through its Public Employment Service Office and Provincial Youth Development Office, conducted a JobsNext Orientation and Walkthrough in 12 municipalities and 24 learning institutions, including universities, private colleges, and senior high schools.
Online and onsite job fairs were likewise conducted in which more than 100,000 jobs were offered through the program's partnership with its stakeholders.
