QC gov't to hold medical mission for senior citizens on Feb. 2
The Quezon City government said on Monday, Jan. 29, that it will conduct the Senior Citizens Maintenance Medicine program to provide free medicines and medical services for the elderly in the city on Friday, Feb. 2.
The program will be held at Eastwood Citywalk Central Plaza, Barangay Bagumbayan from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., and is part of Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte's goal to bring different city government services closer to the residents.


It was first launched in 2019 to give free maintenance medicines for hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes to the senior citizens.
Interested senior citizens must present their QCitizen identification cards (ID) to the City Health Department to get the free medicines as well as medical services including laboratory, checking of vital signs, medical consultation, oral examination, oral prophylaxis, and tooth extraction.
Other city departments will also offer different services which include application of senior citizen identification cards (Office of Senior Citizen's Affairs), and QCitizen ID (Office of the City Mayor), and Person with Disability (PWD) ID, during the event.
The QC Veterinary Department will also conduct free anti-rabies vaccinations, pet registration, and microchipping for cats, dogs, and other pets of city residents.
