Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte received the "Most Outstanding Business-Friendly Mayor" award from the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) on Sunday, Jan. 28.

The award acknowledged Belmonte’s commitment to promoting the "#BizEasy" initiative within the city through the QC Biz Easy Online Unified Business Permit Application System (OUBPAS), which is aligned with her vision to establish the city as the preferred business destination.
The QC Biz Easy Online Unified Business Permit Application System (OUBPAS) is an online processing system for business permit applications where all transactions are automated to ensure ease of doing business in the city.
The system brings the Quezon City government closer to its citizens.

During the awarding ceremony, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) chief Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan was given the “Enabler Award” for the police force's effective implementation of peace and order which resulted in the decrease of crime rate, thus encouraging business owners to invest in the city.

Maranan strengthened police visibility by mobilizing the QCPD Task Force Anti-Crime Response Team. Its members conduct patrols using motorcycles and bike to enhance surveillance in crowded areas.
The Local Economic Investment Promotions Office head Jay Gatmaitan and Business Permit and Licensing Department (BPLD) head Marge Santos also received the Enabler Award.
Meanwhile, the “Collaborator Award” was given to Youth Development Office (YDO) head Dr. Eddilyn DC Dividina.
