Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang continues his climb back to the contender status of the strawweight division when he collides against Danial “Mini T” Williams at ONE Fight Night 19: Haggerty vs. Lobo on Feb. 17 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Motivated since coming back from a freak ACL injury, the Soma Fight Club standout has been relentless in his return as he seeks for his third straight victory.
And in his mind, a victory against a tough cookie like Williams should serve as his springboard back into the rankings.
“I think I’ll enter the top five with a win. Some of those in the top five have already competed, and I expect them to drop out with the losses. This would be my third consecutive win, if I win and I believe I deserve to be in the top five. And with a few more wins, I believe I deserve a title shot,” he said.
Adiwang is coming off a redemption victory over Jeremy “The Jaguar” Miado, silencing his doubters with an emphatic unanimous decision win at ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade last November.
Though momentum is on his side, the Filipino striker also isn’t taking Williams lightly even though the Thai-Aussie fighter is reeling off three losses when he jumped over the striking arts, the last being against ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan Di Bella at ONE Fight Night 15: Le vs Freymanov.
“I’m always happy to get a fight. I have always said that I’ll face anyone, although I would’ve prepared a fighter in the top five, Mini T is not someone you take lightly,” he said.
“He’s fought the best strikers like Rodtang, Superlek and Di Bella. I think his goal here in ONE is to fight the best strikers in the world and that’s why they gave him to me. What I want to show is that my striking also belongs on the top.”
