Puregold offers discounts to select items nationwide


Mega retailer Puregold Price Club Inc. announced it is offering discounts on select branded products, with prices reduced by P1 up to P6, as part of efforts to help consumers amid high inflation.  

In a statement, the company said the discounts apply to branded grocery staples like chocolate drinks (from P8.40 to P7.60), condensed milk (from P44.50 to P43), cheese (from P56.50 to P50), baby diapers (prices depending on sizes), dishwashing liquid (from P10.45 to P8), and even food seasoning.

The discounts will be implemented in all Puregold branches in the country. Discounted prices can also be availed through the retailers online shopping platform under the “Panalo sa Quality, Panalo sa Value Tuwing Mamimili” initiative. 

The firm said the discounts were approved to help consumers purchase basic goods and necessities amid high inflation, citing the six percent full-year average inflation rate set by National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) in 2023. 

“We believe that our customers should continue to have access to trusted, high-quality goods. From our stores’ already low prices, we’ve taken immediate action to further reduce the cost of essential items with the help of our partner suppliers,” said Puregold President Vincent Co. 

This year, the Bangko Sentral ang Pilipinas (BSP) forecasts inflation to set at around 3.7 percent, The country's headline inflation rate in 2023 settled at six percent.
