P1.4-M shabu seized in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY â€“ A drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Purok Sigay, Barangay Singcang-Airport here on Sunday, January 28, five years after he was first apprehended for a drug offense in 2019.

Police identified the suspect as Dario Gonzales, 32, of Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Gonzales yielded 220 grams of suspected shabu worth P1.4 million.

Police Capt. Joven Mogato, head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said the suspect was arrested for a drug offense in 2019.

Mogato said the suspect appealed his case and was acquitted. He was released from jail last June.

A month after he was released from jail, Mogato said Gonzales peddled illegal drugs from time to time.

He was monitored until he was apprehended.
