Police Col. Domingo Bambico, deputy city director for operations (DCDO), led the exercise focused on scenarios related to crowd control, emergency response, and tactical interventions.

These simulations replicated potential security challenges during Panagbenga.

Law enforcement personnel, with the Baguio City Fire Station (BCFS), Baguio City Forensic Unit, CDRRMO, EMS, volunteer groups, and other government agencies, actively participated in exercises like shooting spree incidents, assisting unconscious individual, and handling packages with alleged explosives.

By simulating real-life situations, police said the exercise provided an opportunity for law enforcement personnel, force multipliers, and emergency response teams to enhance their coordination and communication skills.

The SIMEX and COMEX are part of BCPO's commitment to provide a safe and secure environment for people attending Panagbenga 2024, contributing to the overall success of the festival.
