CEBU CITY – The provincial government of Bohol distributed livelihood assistance to seven people's organizations (POs) recently.
Through the Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO), the capitol awarded over P1.1-million worth of livelihood assistance to POs in the towns of Candijay, Catigbian, San Miguel, and Ubay.
Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado handed over a P203,470 check to the San Vicente Organic Chicken Growers Association in San Vicente, Ubay.
The amount will support the association's agrivet supply retailing project.
At the Cadapdapan Barangay Hall in Candijay, the governor turned over equipment and financial assistance to the Cadapdapan Eskaya Tribe Farmer's Association (CETFA) and Panaghugpong sa Mamumuo ug Mag-uuma sa Cadapdapan (PAMAMACA).
CETFA received a set of dairy milking equipment while PAMAMACA received financial aid of P132,850 for their ginger tea production.
In Tomoc, San Miguel, the Tomoc Farmers Association received P203,470, while the Bayanihan Women's Association got P203,479.
Aumentado also turned over P350,653 to the Kahayag Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association.
The Ambuan United Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Catigbian received P426,696 allocated for its mini-rice mill facility.
“I hope that the associations would continue to work and ensure that the aid is used effectively so that the provincial government can provide further assistance,” Aumentado said.
