Single father vies for King of the World PH 2024

King of the World Philippines 2024 unfolds at Winford Casino and Resort Manila tonight, Jan. 28. Who among the 39 brave contestants will conquer the stage and take home the much-coveted title? 

Aside from the excitement of the finals, there's something interesting about the pageant: a 30-something single father is making his first and final debut in King of the World 2024. His name is Howell Adrian Liao Pantollana, and he is representing Bacoor, Cavite. in the finals.

Howell said joining the pageant is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. He could have chosen to sit on his laurels as he already made a name for himself as a successful e-commerce entrepreneur selling luxury products and "all sorts of stuff."

So why take the plunge now?  "I want to show my kids even at my age, there are always new opportunities if you work hard and put in the effort," he explained. He hopes competing will help uncover his hidden talents and strengths. "Pageantry is a chance for self-discovery and confidence."

The proud single dad further pointed out: "I've spent the past decade focused on my kids Micheco and Hero and growing my business daily. Now I'm realizing it's important to value myself as an individual, too."

"As a father for 10 years, I've reflected on discovering my purpose and self-worth separate from my family responsibilities," he added. " Joining King of the World allows me to explore new avenues and serve as a role model for my children in chasing opportunities at any age."

Howell also wants to promote important causes through his new platform. He advocates for seniors and giving them adequate care in their later years. "I want to preserve the dignity of senior citizens and ensure their quality of life, including wellness, nutrition, social engagement and community involvement," he stressed. "Not all seniors enjoy those necessities."

The dedicated family man and businessman did not hold back in his preparation for the pageant. He even enlisted the help of The Vanguards management to take care of the important aspects of his bid. 

"Winning would prove any man at any age can celebrate life's experiences through pageantry," Howell stated. He's firm in saying that it's never too late to inspire others and chase your dreams.
