Four tractors were distributed to farmer’s groups during the event led by Mayor Gigi Portes, who was celebrating her 53rd birth anniversary; Quezon Provincial Administrator Manny Butardo, representing Gov. Angelina Tan, and Zaldy Gariguez, representing Quezon Rep. Mark Enverga.

The event was witnessed by barangay officials, farmers, local government unit employees, and vendors.

The tractors funded by the Rice Competitive Enhancement Fund (RCEF) were turned over to Barangays Bantigue, Binahaan, Alupaye, and Mapagong and were made possible through a collaboration between Enverga and Portes.

Portes said the renovation was initiated by Enverga and the LGU.

A newly refurbished public market will enable the people here to have cleaner and presentable venue to showcase their produce. The four tractors aim to ease farmers’ workload and increase their production.

Butardo assured the local government of the provincial government’s full support to its efforts to uplift the lives of residents.
