Metro Manila records 'coldest' temperature at 19.9°C this year


The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, Jan. 27, said the temperature in Metro Manila has dropped to 19.9°C, the lowest temperature recorded in the city as of this year.

PAGASA said it was recorded in Science Garden, Quezon City surpassing its record of 20.2°C on Jan. 14.

The northeast monsoon, locally known as "amihan," strengthens and brings cold weather conditions across the country, said PAGASA.

Meanwhile, PAGASA also listed the 10 areas with the coldest temperatures Baguio City recorded 9.8°C,  the lowest temperature in the country since 2024.
