Man shot dead inside PUJ in Quiapo

A man died after an unidentified gunman shot him inside a public utility jeepney (PUJ) near Quiapo Church in Manila on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 27. 

 

The identity of the victim was not yet disclosed by authorities.

 

Report showed that the victim  rode the jeepney, which was traveling the Pasig-Quiapo along Palanca Street at around 3 p.m.

 

Authorities said that the jeepney stopped along Quezon Boulevard to pick up passengers, when suddenly a gunshot was heard and all passengers inside the vehicle started to panic. 

 

The suspect was allegedly onboard a motorcycle.

 

The incident caused heavy traffic along the northbound lane of Quezon Boulevard.

 

The police said that a follow-up operation is still ongoing.
