"Higit sa lahat, haplusin nawa ninyo ang puso ng aking kapatid, ang Pangulo ng Pilipinas;
buksan po ninyo ang kanyang mga mata at bigyan nyo sya ng kaliwanagan ng pag-iisip, gisingin nyo po siya at ilayo sa mga demonyong nakapaligid sa palasyo (Most of all, may you touch the heart of my brother, the President of the Philippines; open his eyes and enlighten his mind, wake him up and distance him from the demons around him in the Palace)," she said.

Senator Marcos also prayed for the protection of Vice President Sara Duterte and for being good-hearted, courageous, forgiving, and caring.

The senator also prayed for colleagues in the Senate to stand firm for the institution, the Constitution, and the mandate of the public.

She also prayed that the Congress be reminded that the trust of every Filipino is sacred, and every vote given to every elected politician is a result of freedom and democracy.

Senator Marcos joined Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva, along with Senators Pia Cayetano, and Grace Poe, in the annual event that was led by JIL Church Founder and Spiritual Director, Bishop Bro. Eddie Villanueva.

The event brought together over 7,000 pastors and leaders from the National Capital Region (NCR), Bulacan, Southern and Northern Luzon, as well as more than 6,000 participants online from Visayas and Mindanao.

During the gathering, the four senators underscored the critical role of the Philippine Senate and urged the attendees to safeguard and uphold the Constitution in the face of the ongoing People’s Initiative (PI). They emphasized the importance of defending the fundamental principles that underpin the nation's democracy.

Bro. Eddie Villanueva offered prayers for the senators, invoking courage and wisdom amid concerted efforts to undermine the country's democratic processes.

The senators' participation in the said event was aimed to engage the public, inform and report to them the challenges that the nation is currently facing, and to ask for their prayers and support amid the "brazen attempt to violate the Constitution, the country, and the people".

The House of Representatives and the Senate have differing stands when it comes to amending the 37-year-old Constitution. Reports have been reaching senators that congressmen are behind the ongoing signature drive for PI, which intends to make Congress (House and the Senate) vote jointly vote during a Constituent Assembly (Con-Ass) for Charter change (Cha-cha)

The Senate has already issued a manifesto strongly expressing their opposition to the ongoing attempts to change the 1987 Constitution through a PI.

In the manifesto, the Senate expressed strong objections to eliminating the upper chamber’s role in introducing amendments or even overhauling the Constitution.

A Senate inquiry led by Senator Marcos on the efficacy of PI is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 30.
