The “Bagong Pilipinas” banner is more than just a branding, it also signifies the promise of the Marcos administration to deliver quality government services to Filipinos, an official of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said on Saturday, Jan. 27.

Emphasizing that Bagong Pilipinas serves as the administration’s commitment to improving government services, PCO Undersecretary Gerald Baria made the remarks a day before a kick-off rally at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila that is expected to be attended by President Marcos, the First Family, and various government officials.
“Ito iyong parang declaration ng commitment ng Philippine bureaucracy, ng gobyerno para mag-level up ng government services para marating ang Bagong Pilipinas (This is like a declaration of commitment by the Philippine bureaucracy, by the government for government services to level up to reach the Bagong Pilipinas),” he said in a news forum in Quezon City.
“So, magandang maintindihan ito kasi napaka-multilayer ng Bagong Pilipinas – hindi lang ito logo, hindi lang ‘to branding, hindi ito government program – it’s multi-sectoral/multilevel na concept na i-implement. Actually, in-start na siyang i-implement pero parang officially idi-declare bukas na simula na ng ating pagtungo sa Bagong Pilipinas (So, it’s good to understand because Bagong Pilipinas is very mutli-layered—this is not just a logo, this is not just a branding, this is not a government program—it’s a multi-sectoral, multi-level concept to be implemented. It is actually being implemented by tomorrow is the official declaration that we are going to Bagong Pilipinas).”
In the same forum, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Odillon Pasaraba underscored the importance of the support from local government units for the Bagong Pilipinas because these institutions would help bring the services of the government closer to the people.
The official also said that Bagong Pilipinas aims to empower more Filipinos to participate in governance because government cannot act alone.
“Kailangan natin (We need) a concerted, crystallized and consolidated efforts para mas lalong malasap, maramdaman, at makikita ng ating mga mamamayang Pilipino na may pag-asa para sa Bagong Pilipinas (so Filipinos can further experience, feel, and witness that there is hope in Bagong Pilipinas),” he added.
Government officials, celebrities, and other personalities are expected to attend the rally, which will also lead to road closures of nearby areas. The kick-off rally, which officials said could be attended by some 200,000 people, will be live-streamed nationwide.
There will also be a “Serbisyo Fair” conducted alongside other entertainment activities. Interested individuals who would like to participate and avail of services during the fair must register at the https://www.bagongpilipinastayo.com.
