Anthony Rosaldo is all set for his first major solo concert dubbed "Switch: Anthony Rosaldo in Concert," which will be held at the Music Museum in Greenhills on Jan. 31, at 8 p.m.

"I was excited pero nervous because we recently came up with the idea lang po. So I thought, 'Do we have enough time to do the show?' Normally pag concert, months talaga ang preparations. Matagal talaga pero sa amin saglit lang (ang preparations)," said Anthony when asked about his reaction when he was first offered to do a concert during a media conference in Quezon City recently.

Anthony said he exercised a lot to look fit on stage in preparation for the show. "Ang takot ko lang talaga is magkasakit before the concert." (My only fear is getting sick before the concert.)

His guests include Rita Daniela, Kahlil Ramos, Gian Magdangal, and Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo.

Anthony explained how the title of the concert was chosen.

"Everybody knows na isa akong artista-singer. I perform on TV and events. But last year, I made my big switch and I debuted in the musical theater. So gusto ko rin ipakita sa iba yung ginawa kong switch," he said.

If he had to dedicate his concert to one person, it would be his brother.

"Aside from my supporters, may isang person na I want to dedicate this concert. I have a brother who passed away in 2022. Nawala siya because of cancer. So I want to offer this whole show sa kanya kasi katuwang ko siya when I was just starting. He was like a father figure to me. He helped me in many ways. I think he would be happy na makita niya ako on stage," Anthony said.

Anthony also revealed his wish for 2024: a hit song.

"I've been praying for a long time since I signed up with GMA in 2018. This is my greatest dream na ma-fulfill as an artist. I have fans and supporters but don't have a hit song yet. Kahit isa lang Lord. Bigyan mo naman sana ako ng isang one hit song that would inspire. Yung tipong pag-naalala nila yung pangalan ko, maaalala rin nila yung kanta na yun and will make it a part of their lives," he said.

Even just one Lord. Please give me a one-hit song that would inspire them. When they remember my name, they will remember that song and make it a part of their lives.)

Anthony also encouraged people of all ages to never give up on their dreams.

"Galing po ako sa numerous competitions at hindi lang sa The Clash. Pero ang The Clash po ang nagbigay sa akin to enter showbiz. So my advice to the younger generation, pati na rin sa all ages, don't give up. "Huwag titigil. Hindi po talaga ako tumigil na maabot ang mga pangarap ko."
