Tanza buy-bust ops yield P1.2-M shabu; 2 arrested


CAVITE – Authorities seized suspected shabu worth P1.24 million from two consecutive drug buy-bust operations in Tanza on Thursday, Jan. 25.

Tanza Municipal Police Station (MPS) Chief Lt. Col. Willy Salazar told the Manila Bulletin that the first sting operation collared a street-level individual identified as alias Rey.

Confiscated from the suspect were more or less 83 grams of illegal drugs with an estimated street value of P564,400.

During alias Rey’s custodial debriefing report interview, Tanza MPS was able to acquire more information on the drug-pushing activities in the area.

Armed with the new information, the police immediately conducted another buy-bust operation and apprehended a high-value individual identified as alias Mark.

The second suspect yielded more or less 100 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P680,000.

Alias Rey and alias Mark are now under the custody of Tanza MPS and are facing drug charges.

The confiscated pieces of evidence will be brought to the Provincial Forensic Unit in Imus City for examination.
