This after the city government inaugurated multiple infrastructure projects in January to address the safety and provide better services to the residents.

"Ang mga imprastraktura po na ating ipinapatayo ay hindi lang basta-basta dahil alam niyo naman po na ayaw ko ang pwede na. Gusto ko lagi ay 'yung ligtas, maganda, at mapapakinabangan ng mga Batang Kankaloo (The infrastructures that we are building are not just for nothing because you know that I don't want them to be just okay. I always want them to be safe, beautiful, and beneficial to the Batang Kankaloo)," the mayor said.

"Batid din po natin na hindi lang mga malalaking gusali ang simbolo ng ating pag-unlad kundi pati na rin ang mga proyektong magagamit ng libre ng ating mga pamayanan (We also know that not only large buildings are the symbol of our development but also projects that can be used for free by our communities)," Malapitan added.

Among the projects inaugurated by the local government were two new roads on Mabolo Street, Barangay 179 and in Mountain Heights Subdivision Barangay 183.

The roads were renovated by the  local government to prevent flooding during heavy rains and provide safe passageways for motorists, according to the city government.

Malapitan also led the lighting of new streetlights on Solar Street in Barangay 171, Ruby, Dahlia, and Silver Streets in Merry Homes Subdivision located in Barangays 172 and 177, which aims to provide light and keep residents who walk outside during the evenings safe.

The mayor also inaugurated a new covered court in Barangays 168 Deparo multi-purpose hall in Barangay 172, which the residents can use to play sports and conduct various activities.

He also said that different infrastructure projects including the University of Caloocan City College of Medicine and Health Services building, a columbarium, and Polytechnic University of the Philippines - North Caloocan will be built in the following months.

Malapitan urged the residents to take care of the projects provided by the city government so that it can still be used by the next generation.

"Marami pa pong nakahandang mga programa para sa inyo kaya ang hiling ko ay sana pangalagaan natin ang mga ito nang magamit pa ng ating mga anak at apo (There are many more programs prepared for you, so my request is you take care of them so that our children and grandchildren can use them)," he said.
