Strong Group head coach Charles Tiu has come forward and denied reports of Kevin Quiambao receiving an invitation from the New York Knicks to play in the NBA Summer League.

In a now deleted video posted by Strong Group Athletics on Instagram on Thursday, Jan 25, its head of PR Nico Rocha confirmed the news himself and said that while it was true, there hasn’t been any decisions made on Quiambao’s end.

Shortly after, Tiu went on X to refute the report.

“Can I just say, there is nothing about Kevin Quiambao and the Knicks right now. O,” Tiu’s post read.

Strong Group is currently sitting on top of a perfect group campaign in the ongoing 33rd Dubai International Basketball Championship heading into the quarterfinal round on Saturday, Jan. 27 (Manila time).
