Parañaque LGU prepares for 26th cityhood anniversary

The Parañaque City government has has lined up several activities in celebration of its 26^th cityhood anniversary on Feb. 13.

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said the three-week celebration started on Jan. 22 with the presentation of candidates for “Gandang Mamita and Gwapitong Papito.”

Olivarez said aside from the beauty pageant, the city government will also hold the “Ginoo andt Binibining Parañaque 2024” pageant.

He said activities related to the celebration include the Sunduan Dolls Contest and Exhibit, Sunduan Dress Fashion Show, Flavors of Parañaque, Komedya, Sayaw ng Pagbati, Folk Dance Contest, and the Grand Sunduan showcasing the rich culture of the city.

The mayor said the city government will conduct the Academic Quiz Bee, Coop Tiangge, Mega Job Fair, Kasalang Bayan, Alagang Parañaque Universal Health Care Caravan, and the blessing and inauguration of different facilities and projects in the city.

The city government will also give recognition to the outstanding taxpayers and honor the “Natatanging Parañaqueño.”
