TINGLAYAN, Kalinga – Police destroyed marijuana plants worth P24 million in an eradication operation in this town from January 22 to 23.
Units led by the Kalinga Police Provincial Office discovered a marijuana plantation in Barangay Butbut Proper.
Planted were more or less than 120,000 fully grown marijuana plants with a total standard drug price of P24 million.
These were documented then uprooted and burned on site.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation to identify and apprehend its cultivators.
The Police Regional Office (PRO)-Cordillera vowed to maintain the continuous conduct of anti-illegal drugs operations in the region.
