Renamed to mark a new rule

Mitsubishi is ready to do battle in the highly competitive pickup segment with its latest gladiator, the all-new Triton pickup. Now officially available, the new pick-up represents a significant transformation as part of Mitsubishi’s commitment to delivering vehicles that exceed expectations.

A new name

The transition from the “Strada” to “Triton” nameplate signifies a profound evolution in the brand’s pick-up truck. Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology where Triton is the powerful god of the sea, the all-new Triton pick-up also symbolizes a powerful figure with its performance and elegant features.

The Triton is a more advanced and refined pick-up truck. This vehicle is not merely an upgrade but an entirely new experience. Crafted to endure challenging weather and road conditions, the Triton embodies ruggedness, reliability, and trustworthiness. The all-new Triton promises secure and comfortable off-road family expeditions, transforming each journey into a remarkable adventure.

Bolder and tougher look

The all-new exterior design features a more aggressive front fascia with new headlights combined with a massive square-shaped grille. It also sports Mitsubishi's iconic Dynamic Shield Design to complete the overall look. The new model also possesses a longer overall body, and a wider stance.

Powerful engine

The Triton is powered by a newly developed 2.4-liter turbo diesel engine. The Athlete variant features a unique ‘two-stage' turbo capable of producing 204-PS of power with a 470-Nm maximum torque. It is now more responsive and more powerful than ever. The other Triton variants can produce 183-PS and 430-NM of torque. Those that opt for the automatic will enjoy the new six-speed automatic. The Athlete 4WD also comes with Mitsubishi’s renowned Super Select 4WD II electronic-shifting 4x4 system. It also comes with seven drive modes to further tailor vehicle response to terrain presets.

New chassis and suspension

Rigorously tested to provide increased strength and reduced overall weight, the improved suspension design with new shock-absorption system ensures excellent comfort even in the harshest terrain. The front features independent wishbone suspension with coil springs while the rear is suspended by a rigid axle with leaf springs for maximum articulation and ruggedness.

Bigger cargo space

Built for superb practicality, the new Triton now has larger cargo bed space. Designed with commercial use in mind, it can fit a Euro pallet (the forklift-compatible wooden cargo base) crosswise even with a bedliner installed. It also has a lower bed floor height, making loading and unloading easier and more convenient.

Reimagined interior

With the driver and passengers in mind, the interior design has been improved to provide a more comfortable and spacious cabin with all important amenities within reach. It comes with enhanced connectivity options through its new high-mount, nine-inch display audio system. It comes with Bluetooth with hands-free connectivity and USB connectivity. In the GLS 2WD AT and Athlete 4WD, it comes with Wireless Apple Carplay & Android Auto.

Enhanced safety features

The Athlete 4WD and GLS 2WD AT variants are also wquipped with Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) with pedestrian detection, and object detection. They also come with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) which alerts the driver via visual and audible warnings if an approaching vehicle is detected when reversing. For added safety, they are also equipped with a Multi-Around View Monitor offering safer and confident maneuvering in tight spaces.

The all-new Mitsubishi Triton is now available nationwide. The new Triton starts at P1,134,000 for the GL 2WD MT, P1,582,000 for the GLS 2WD AT, all the way up to P1,909,000 for the Triton Athlete 4WD AT. The Triton is available in seven color variants including the new colors like Yamabuki Orange and Blade Silver.
