A 55-year-old man listed as street level individual (SLI) and in the barangay's drug watchlist in Talon Uno, Las Piñas City was arrested during the implementation of a search warrant Wednesday night, Jan. 24.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said members of the Las Piñas police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) served the search warrant at around 9:50 p.m. leading to the arrest of the suspect identified as a certain Jim.
The SPD said Las Piñas police chief Col. Jaime Santos reported that members of the SDEU implemented the search warrant issued by Judge Elizabeth Guray, of Las Piñas Regional Trial Court (RTC) executive judge.
Santos said during the operation, SDEU operatives were able to recover 11 plastic sachets containing about 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000.
He said aside from the shabu, operatives also recovered a maroon pouch, rolled aluminum foil, three disposable lighters, a blue cash box, and a Techno cellular phone.
The arrested suspect was immediately detained at the Las Piñas city police custodial facility and will be charged for illegal possession of drugs,
The police said the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit (SPDFU) for analysis.
