Cavite 1st District's top 100 college scholars get P25K grant

CAVITE – The top 100 college students of the province’s first congressional district received scholarship grants at the Cavite City Auditorium on Wednesday, Jan. 24.

The first batch of scholars was given P25,000 each under the Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) Program.

The office of Cavite 1st District Rep. Jolo Revilla facilitated the distribution.

Revilla said he is proud of the top scholars from Rosario, Noveleta, Kawit, and Cavite City, who now have additional funds for their school-related expenses.

“Ang tanging hiling ko lang ay mag-aral kayo nang mabuti hanggang sa makatapos ng kolehiyo. Asahan ninyo po na patuloy tayong maglulunsad ng mga programa na makatutulong sa mas maraming kabataan sa ating distrito (My only hope is that you will study hard until you finish college. You can expect that we will continue to launch programs that will help more youth in our district),” Revilla posted.
