BUTUAN CITY – Police nabbed 10 wanted persons in the Caraga region on Tuesday, January 23.

The Police Regional Office-13 Regional Operations Division (ROD) said the Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) arrested four, followed by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-13 and Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office (PPO) with two each, and the Surigao del Sur PPO and the Regional Intelligence Division (RID)-13 with one each.
One of those arrested was the fourth most wanted person in Caraga.
The 42-year-old suspect was apprehended by the CIDG-Surigao del Norte Provincial Field Unit and Surigao City Police Station for acts of lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act No. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act).
Arrest warrant for two counts of acts of lasciviousness was issued by the Regional Trial Court, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 29, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte, with a P180,000 bail each.
The suspect allegedly sexually assaulted a minor twice in Surigao City in 2023.
PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft commended arresting units for their achievement.
“These notable accomplishments reflect the efforts of our operatives on the ground to bring wanted individuals to justice. We are keeping substantial strides in the conduct of manhunt operations against those sought by the law,” Kraft added.
