Megaworld sets the stage for an inclusive celebration of Dinagyang Festival 2024

Prominent figures from Megaworld and the organizers of the Dinagyang Festival stand against the backdrop of the Festive Walk Iloilo Bridgeway, with a 20-foot iconic giant inflatable dog named 'Jennie.' 

Megaworld's 72-hectare township, Iloilo Business Park (IBP), takes center stage as one of the primary venues for this year's Dinagyang Festival, showcasing the best of Iloilo. Festivities commenced with the unveiling of a 20-foot iconic giant inflatable dog named "Jennie" atop the Festive Walk Iloilo Bridgeway, symbolizing unity and celebration for all.

Under the theme "Dinagyang For All," Iloilo City's premier business district and lifestyle destination extends a warm welcome to guests of diverse backgrounds, ages, and interests. This inclusive celebration embraces tourists, festival-goers, pet owners, and their pets of all sizes, and more.

Lively cultural celebration

As the festivities unfold, the Dinagyang Art Festival on Jan. 24 at the Iloilo Contemporary Museum of Culture and Arts (ILOMOCA) features masterpieces from local artists.

The Dinagyang Food Festival, extending along Java Road and Festive Walk Parade, presents over 200 merchants offering a variety of Ilonggo dishes and street food.

For music enthusiasts, the Pepsi Night on Jan. 25 and Dinagyang Music Festival on Jan. 26 at Java Road showcase live performances by popular bands and artists. Janine Berdin, Alamat, and Tropa Vibes headline the Coke Studio event on Jan. 27, while the Dinagyang Kapamilya Karavan on Jan. 28 features stars like Paulo Avelino and Kim Chiu.

Colorful spectacles, including the Dinagyang Iloilo Business Park Light Show on Jan. 24 to 25 and ILOmination In The Sky on Jan. 26, are set to captivate visitors. The Iloilo Business Expo (ILOBEX) at Festive Walk Mall Atrium from Jan. 19 to 28 showcases local products, featuring exhibits like the Dinagyang Family of Dolls and Dagway Face of Festival.

ILOBEX, Iloilo City's largest trade fair organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Iloilo Chapter (PCCI-Iloilo), boasts over 100 exhibitors. Shoppers can explore local delicacies, garments, accessories, and more.

Promoting inclusivity

Mikee Vivo, general manager for provincial properties at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, emphasizes the inclusive nature of "Dinagyang For All.”
