Nueva Vizcaya is an insurgency-free province.

THE provincial government of Nueva Vizcaya receives a plaque certifying the province's insurgency-free status.
This was announced during the flag ceremony of the provincial government attended by high-ranking officers from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Army and the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA)-2 chief Plormelinda P. Olet on Monday, January 22.
The event was graced by Vice Gov. Eufemia Dacayo and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Nueva Vizcaya.
The province was declared insurgency-free after Resolution No. 2023-4865 which officially recognized Nueva Vizcaya as an insurgency-free province was passed by the provincial board.
Gov. Jose "Jing" V. Gambito accepted a plaque from Lt. Gen. Fernyl Buca, Northern Luzon Command chief, symbolizing Nueva Vizcaya’s achievement.
Gambito cited the recognition, saying that this would benefit the province’s tourism industry and economy.
He thanked the late Gov. Carlos M. Padilla and other past governors who worked hard to achieve this status.
“The declaration of Nueva Vizcaya as an insurgency-free province not only brings pride and honor to the community but also opens doors for the province’s tourism industry to flourish. With the restoration of peace and stability, Nueva Vizcaya is poised to attract more tourists and investors, leading to economic growth and improved livelihood opportunities for its residents,” Gambito said.
Major Gen. Audrey L. Pasia, 5th Infantry Division commander, stressed that Nueva Vizcaya’s status as an insurgency-free province is a testament to the power of unity and collective action in ending local armed conflicts.
