Junk shop, construction workers nabbed in shabu buy-bust in Taguig

Three persons, including a junk shop helper and a construction worker, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Jan. 22.

The police identified the suspects as alias Nicky, 37, an alleged high value individual-pusher, junkshop helper; alias Allan, 51, construction worker; and alias Dencio, 35.

They were arrested in Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig by operatives from the Southern Police District (SPD) Drug Enforcement Unit, District Investigation Division, District Mobile Force Battalion, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-South District Office, and the Taguig Police’s Substation 10.

Confiscated from the suspects were one plastic bag containing suspected shabu, weighing 80 grams with a value of P544,000, one genuine P1,000 bill, 36 pieces of P1,000 boodle money and one cell phone.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
